“Excellent”

“Overall the property was lovely. For an all inclusive the food was good. Cauri was the biggest letdown food wise, it just wasn’t flavorful. Bamboo was the one we ate at twice the first time it was amazing. The 2nd it was awful, the food came out at various times, some incorrect items, and the fried ice cream was lukewarm dough. From what we understood they were short staffed that night and a large family that didn’t make a reservation but berated the staff until they were let in which ruined it……

“The resort property was beautiful and pretty well maintained, especially the pools. AND, the staff was very friendly. BUT, if you're going there for the "all inclusive" part of it, it's basically almost non existant. There are 2 bars, one swim up and one in the restaurant area and between the two, you might find 5 bottles of booze (and that's mostly really cheap stuff). The so called "nice" restaurant, Calibri, was not even open the whole time we were there (7 days). And, the food was not that……

“We’ve payed around 5000 dollars to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights, considering that we were star class, the check-in process was fine, they explained us our benefits, etc… During this period of time, the food was awful. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner is this So Cal Buffet, and the quality of the food was horrible. The food was cold, cheap, disgusting and even hard to even look at or swallow. The people next to the table even called the food ‘’ass’’. And I totally agree. The lunch menu was fine,……

“I stayed at Secrets Papagayo in October when the resort was at 60% capacity, so it was pleasantly relaxed and never felt overcrowded. I’d read complaints about the shuttles, and it’s true that the steep layout makes walking around difficult. “The property and staff were nice..A few take aways, 1) 3pm Check-in means 3pm no flexilbilty on that,, 2) After we checked-in the two specialty restaraunts were already booked up. for our entire stay..(our stay was from Mon_Fri.)...Bummer. 3)The resort sits on the side of a mountain, so the pool and beach are a distance..so you need to be in decent shape for the hike back..”
