NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED. I can only blame myself and Expedia, not the hosts. THIS IS A BOARDING HOUSE. YOU ARE RENTING A BEDROOM—EVERYTHING ELSE IS SHARED. We were in the area to attend a hockey tournament and needed a two-night stay. Everything was very good. The room was clean and the hotel was very close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was fine with eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, fruits, muffins, juices and coffee.

This Hyatt is a great addition to the Newark downtown area. Clean, modern and in a good easy to get to area and very walkable portion of downtown.

Beautiful hotel a block from the beach. Easy, free parking on premises. Wonderful staff. Nice bar and bartender Travis was great. Walking distance to great restaurants and coffee/breakfast. Beautiful sandy beach to walk for miles. Went off season at an absolute steal! Would highly recommend

I checked in very late (past 10:00pm) and was in no mood to deal with humanity in general. I walked in and the receptionist immediately noted my exhaustion and had everything squared away for me in under five minutes! Mood greatly improved, I asked if they had room service because I was starving. I was informed that it was too late for food to be ordered there but she provided me with four different options of local restaurants that were still open and delivered directly to the hotel. We went to this Bethany Ocean Suites as a last minute fall weekend jaunt. It overmet out expectations. Our suite overrlooked the ocean, it was large and well set up. The hotel lobby was very nice as was the friday night music in the bar. The breakfast was okay, not great. The access to the beach fabulous. Size of the suite would be good for a familly with young kids, a couple or a weekend with a friend or two.

This was my first time staying at a Residence Inn. It was tucked away behind the Fairfield Inn (also owned by Marriot) and it was difficult to see directly from the road. However, once inside, we were greeted by an exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. I explained that I was there to visit my sick father in the hospital which the front desk person empathized. What a cute hotel this is! Located on a quiet street but an easy walk into town and down to the beach. Outside seating areas on the porch and balconies give a communal feel. The rooms are bright, colorful and clean. The shower has a rain shower head on it and it's all just kind of beachhead-hip if you are looking for something cool.
