“This is one of the most quaint places I've stayed at. Building was built in early 1900's but has been refurbished inside with modern features but retains the old craftsman look and feel. Our room was larger than I expected. Bathroom was spacious and modern. The sink was smaller than expected but made sense actually. Extremely quiet. Monterey has very little activity. “A beautiful piece of heaven! I can't say enough about this place. The property was stunning, the cabin was perfect, and the owners were absolutely wonderful. A rolling creek, thunderstorms on the covered porch, bonfire under the stars, visits from wildlife, laughing at the battling hummingbirds, and hot tub soaks made for a weekend to remember. A hidden gem that we can't wait to get back to! Pat and Valerie have created a magical place and we are beyond blessed to have experienced it. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The area is beautiful and serene even with Potomac Road. The only thing I would say is it is not handicap accessible, the stairway is long and steep, but if that doesn’t bother you you will enjoy this gem.”

“My wife and I stayed at this wonderful cabin for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. I mentioned the anniversary in my initial message to the hosts and we were greeted with a festive assortment of anniversary-themed decorations. That was very thoughtful and personal, and set the tone for our stay. Our itinerary was to breakfast at the cabin each day, venture out for a long hike, enjoy dinner in Monterey then relax in the cabin. The cabin with its amenities (hot tub, fire pit, smart TV) and……

“A perfect get away if you are in need of some peace and quiet and a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Absolutely beautiful!! ”

“Unfortunately the host accidentally double booked this property and our group did not find out about it until we arrived. They offered to partially contribute to a hotel stay for us, but unfortunately the closest hotel was still about an hour away. ”

“This house is everything it says it is. Out of the way but a great place to get together with friends and family to make new memories. It rained one of the days we’re there but that was fine because there was so much room and things provided in the house that we didn’t even notice! Management was excellent”
