“Typical chain hotel with casino. The thermal springs were really good but lack a coffee shop. Restaurants fair but not great. Good Gardens but nowhere to sit. Good value for money.”

“A short but very sweet stopover for us at this lodge. The staff are beyond excellent and offered great service, activities and fabulous food. So glad we stayed and suggest you do too.”

“Awesome”

“The staff was the sweetest! They really took care of us. Nice rooms, fun tracks to go with bike, lots of space for the kids, overall we had a great time ! ”

“Pre-check in comms and answering cell number after arrival were very poorly handled. Would have been better to be able to chat to someone to get the details from a human than just a board at reception when we arrived. ”

“Such a nice host! Very cozy and cute place😊”

“We stayed in Hoopoe Cottage. While I appreciate that Barton is under new ownership, our experience was disappointing. Before we even arrived, our booking had been incorrectly recorded for the wrong day (fortunately my husband phoned to confirm). We'd also arranged an early bag drop (no issue there) and were told the hot tub would be lit before our return from the Overberg Explorer. When we got back, there was no cot despite confirming one and the hot tub was ice cold because the fire had gone……

“Good stay, beautiful apartment ”
