"This was just the right home for our group of eight this Christmas. The open layout was great for snacking, puzzles and conversation and the large dining room table overlooking the pool and back yard was perfect for meals. Beds were comfortable and location was convenient to restaurants and a nice church for Christmas Eve service. Loved the outdoor fireplace and would love to return in the summer to enjoy the pool and backyard area. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings."

"This beautiful home is centrally located in a hip neighborhood (Zilker is close to SXSW, ACL, South Congress and Downtown.) The house is a contemporary with natural light, tall ceilings and tons of amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood, morning coffee and afternoon cocktails in the secluded backyard. Our host, Almog, could not have been nicer or more responsive."

"My family (ten of us) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The space was gorgeous, both indoor and out, and the kitchen contained all the dishes, utensils, and staples we needed to cook a few meals. We loved the pool and the hammock and the nearby walking trail, and there was enough space for all of us to get ready at the same time - we attended a wedding in Hudson Bend. My only suggestion is maybe some more towel hooks in the secondary bathroom upstairs, as there were 5 of us...

"The experience we had for 3 days at this Vrbo was awesome! It is a little off the beaten path in terms of downtown Austin, but the area offers a lot within a short distance. Food and drinks, grocery, catering, etc were all very very manageable. The separation of buildings and sleeping arrangements allows everyone to have space and time as needed! The pool is great and many activities are provided for your use, which we took full advantage off. My few suggestions would be to add more hosting...

"Everything was very clean and was exactly what was represented in pictures and as described. Had a small problem with wifi after a 10-20 second power outage. Owner was quickly responsive and helpful. All in all, a satisfactory experience."

"We rented this place for our family to gather for the eclipse! The kids had a blast in the pool, playing games on the lawn and catching toads after dark! The house manager, Martha made us feel totally welcome and helped us with all of our needs. It rained which made the separate entrances to the bedrooms a bit of a bummer but we survived! All in all it was a perfect place for our family to gather!"

"This home was great for us! It has an expansive backyard, a nice deck and grill, and was easy to get to. Only catch was our late night arrival and host had forgotten to give us the gate code, but it all worked out pretty quickly."

"We enjoyed the Walker Villa overlooking Travis Lake for four nights including the total solar eclipse of 2024. Paula, our host, was very proactive and helpful while we planned the details of the trip; she was great! The Villa itself is roomy, tastefully decorated, and extremely well-equipped if you choose to self-cater. Furniture is lovely and comfy, beds are great, and the patio overlooking the lake is furnished with a six-chair table and a comfortable L-shaped couch that saw a lot of lounging...

Minor cleanliness issues that we easily overlooked for our needs for a nice place to stay while visiting Austin and the surrounding area. Owner was very responsive and covered any questions we had."

The place could use a few minor improvements--blinds in bedroom should be replaced because several slats are broke, could use some more hangars(there might be 8) and it would be nice if they supplied beach towels. "We stayed here for a few days in August. It was nice and quiet for our stay. Unfortunately, due to the level 4 drought, there was no water views (it was dry). We took advantage of the pool to cool off, which was nice, but not the cleanest pool with cloudy water. We used the guest parking lot because the space in front of the unit was difficult to access with a full-sized SUV due to the tight turns, steep declines, and the neighboring guests parking in a way that blocked us. "This place was very good! The instructions were clear and lots of great recommendations for things to do. My only critiques are that there was a weird smell when we first walked in that only got marginally better over our stay. Also, bring your own blankets because you are only provided a thin sheet and blanket."
