The lady checking us in was excellent, warm and friendly. The room was thoughtfully laid out. Felt like a small apartment, especially with the mini kitchen area which was great. Some might think the room is a little small but we found it fine, we only slept there as we were out exploring most of the time. Everything was exceptionally clean in the room and corridors etc. Nice toiletries, fantastic shower and a GHD hairdryer. The room was quiet even with the window open. The heating/cooling controls were easy to work. The breakfast place they recommended, The Huxley was also excellent. The location of the hotel is excellent. Nice quiet street but It’s a short walk to either princess street or into Stockbridge. We’ve stayed in Edinburgh a few times and this was by far our favourite. The room was small, but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The hotel is a bit further out ( which we knew and didn’t mind) at the very far end of Princes Street, but there were coffee shops, pubs and restaurants very close by.
