“Nice hotel. Very new”

“Great little hotel! Well cared for, nice staff. Met expectations!”

“Room smelled like cigarettes. Stains all over the sheets and towels. Only one towel in bathroom and was damp and stunk. Floor was disgusting. Pillow was the lumpiest pillow I’ve ever seen. I put my shirt over it to sleep on it it was so gross. Didn’t sleep under the covers because it was so dirty. Only one roll of toilet paper and it was nearly gone. Shower curtain was falling off the rod because it was ripped. Shower filled up with brown water while using it. Pubic hair on floor in multiple……

“I come to Erie frequently and I stay at multiple hotels in the area of Spark. I have never stayed at Spark. The hotels I normally stay were sold out and so I chose Spark despite it was about $60-$70 more than the hotels I've stayed in that area so I had expectations that it would be on a higher level. Boy was I wrong! It is cheap and I would never stay there EVER again. The positive is the staff was friendly and the room was clean. There was a fridge, no microwave. No coffee maker, not a bucket……

“Every staff member we encountered was very nice. Breakfast was well-stocked, coffee and tea always available. Didn’t use the pool, but it looked to be pretty nice. Location is good, within 20 minutes of anything to do in Erie. It could’ve been cleaner. Some of that is due to it appearing simply to be an older hotel in need of some renovation (new carpets, new furniture, a paint job to remove scuffs from the walls, etc.), which staff cannot help. Otherwise though, there were areas that could have……
