Loved the charm and uniqueness of the rooms squirreled away in this 1850s era house. Proximity to Rue St Jean and Rue St Louis were also big pluses. The hotel breakfast was great as well. Felt the advertising should have been more up front about the lack of an elevator which made dealing with luggage awkward going up and down the many steps. My room was located in what must have been a carriage house at one time. I had to go up and down a narrow metal staircase to access the room. Furthermore, on two mornings the door at the top of the staircase was deadbolted at 7 AM making it impossible to get to the rest of the hotel. I had to bang on the windows for quite a while to get someone to let me in. The electronic key fob did not work on that particular door, although my room and a number of other doors were accessible via that fob. This was an issue unique to the two rooms (54 and 55) located off that lower courtyard but it did affect the overall ease of my stay.
