Florence weekend away
The apartment is in a perfect location, just a short walk from the Duomo. There’s lots of bars and restaurants nearby and there’s a Carrefour express supermarket literally next door if you want to get some supplies in.
Beware when trying to get into the apartment. The door is old and it takes ages to suss out how to open it! The trick is to not push the door right up to the frame and waggle the key to find the right position. You should be able to get in then.
Check in was relatively easy. You go to their office, which is about a 9 mi walk from the apartment. Although I had to contact the host via Air BnB to get hold of them, even though I’d booked it through hotels.com, which was a little concerning.
The apartment has everything you need and is very clean. The bathroom is very small though and mind your head by the toilet! Bed and kitchen is ok.
The apartment is opposite a bar and restaurant, which is noisy at the weekend until about 2am. Luckily we had ear plugs to help us sleep. Having said that, the bar opposite is worth a visit :)
