Coffee is always a must for me; however, here you have to pay for it. The listing states “breakfast for purchase,” but coffee is also listed under the amenities in the “Kitchen and Dining” section. To me, that could be misleading, as customers may assume coffee is provided in the room or included with the stay (which is what I thought). I think it would be clearer to indicate that coffee is available for purchase as well, so guests know what to expect before booking.

I don't have enough great things to say about this place. Emaculate from the room to the grounds around it. Cardinal Golf Course was truly a gem and the par 3 course and putting course were so much fun. Restaurants on-site were wonderful also. Can't wait to get back here, so we're planning a trip in the fall!

The best hotel in the Detroit metro area hands down! A stunning property and so beautifully kept. Birmingham is a pristine little town and The Townsend so well immaculately situated in its heart. Walk to anywhere. The staff is second to none. I flew in for the Jack White concert, and came back to my hometown, and everyone was so warm and friendly and kind to me. So memorable. Thank you Townsend!!
