“We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready yet. Be aware that the place you are staying is not the same place the reception is! The man at the reception was lovely and welcoming. He was friendly and helpful. When we got our key to the room it was a bit disappointing. The room was about a 5 minute walk away from the reception. It seemed a bit bland and the view from the window was other people’s apartments which was a bit strange. The air con in the room did not work. The lowest it went to was……

“I would get this hotel, a five star rating on crossing board except for just one thing, and it’s the most important thing. A/C is controlled to no lower than 78°F. Even if it says lower it won’t blow below 78°F The AC is strictly controlled, and at about 78° F . I was sweating all night. You can manage a *little bit* better by pushing your entire bed all the way forward to the middle of the room under the AC, and change the settings off of their “AI” settings. There’s a big sign that says……

“So close to the Vatican. Nice rooms. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Our only complaint is the small elevator.”
