“Check in was easy, though be prepared to submit a photo ID electronically before receiving check in info. Upon arrival, the location to shopping is hard to beat. It is right on Broughton St where the majority of the shopping is. However, parking is hard to come by. Plan to park in the State St garage a block away as it is easiest to get to and cheapest for overnight parking. The room was good, though it had a mild smell at the time. It is an older builder so expect creaking floors, thin walls,……

“I didn’t realize we had to check in by 8 pm, so we got there well after 10. The staff lady was so kind to us and understanding. The check in instructions was an oversight on my part. My only complaint is the price. My booking showed one price, but then the price was $200 more. I listed all 5 members of my group when I booked it and got the lower price, but then we were charged $200 more for the extra guests. I would have picked a different place to stay for that price.”

“I am a frequent visitor / fan of SSI. 2 to 3 times a year. We were at a conference on Jekyll and had a couple days left and chose to stay 2 nites at Ocean Lodge. Covered parking and across the street access from the beach were big draws. I thought it would be a fun change from the places we usually stay with our dogs and often family. I remember the rooftop bar as a fun lively bar so thought the 2 nights there would be fun. Sadly, this property is exhausted and has lost its vision. It wasn’t……

“I liked everything, I was quite comfortable. I totally disliked all the stairs outside and the gravel walk paths. At 74 years old this is unacceptable. Will not rent there again for this reason only. ”

“Pest control came through and sprayed my family's belongings. Staff were nonchalant about issues at hand. The room was half cleaned. The room advertised was not what was provided, but I had no choice at the time because my family needed emergency shelter. ”
