Our recent stay at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Harrisburg West Mechanicsburg was okay, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations, and we will likely choose a different hotel for future visits.
When we arrived, we discovered that the TV in our suite was only receiving one channel. We tried troubleshooting everything we could and contacted the front desk for assistance. They provided a new remote and let us know that the IT person had already left for the day. Unfortunately, the replacement remote did not solve the issue. Since we were traveling with two kids, we ended up going to Walmart and purchasing a Roku remote just so we could watch TV during our stay.
The elevators were also not working during our entire three-day stay. Being on the second floor meant taking the stairs every time, which was especially challenging after long hockey days with two children and all of our gear.
We were really looking forward to using the pool, but when we went to swim, the water appeared cloudy and unclean, so we decided not to use it. The breakfast was also disappointing, and during one breakfast visit, a staff member yelled at my daughter, which was upsetting and left a negative impression.
Additionally, the door to our suite did not close properly. We had to pull it shut every time we entered or exited. Unfortunately, we did not realize this on our first night and woke up the next morning to discover that the door had been left open overnight.
