"Didn't realize it was 2 unattached levels but it was fine. Very pretty, nice place, decorated lovely. It was very icy when we were there. But its winter in MN so probably to be expected. Had a nice relaxing weekend."

"Breakfast was pretty weak. Super tiny breakfast area. Had to go down the road to a sister hotel to use the pool and hot tub, which was not real convenient. But the price was very good, room was clean, and I guess you get what you pay for. "

"Our stay was great. The studio is super nice and very pet friendly. The location of the studio is also great and in a quiet location really close to the lake."

"Staying at this hotel in the winter (off season) was not ideal. Too much snow, parking challenging, and hotel office closed. Room was fine, but no view of the lake. My room key didn’t work on my last day, so staff had to re-issue a new key. For winter, I recommend staying 7 miles north in town..Grand Marie…where there are more guests, better overall parking, access to businesses and customer service."

"We had a great time at the Norse Hus! The cabin was cozy and warm once we lit a fire upon arrival, and just right for us. The heating system kept us very comfortable throughout our stay. We found a few games and puzzles in the porch chest. The kitchen was well stocked and included coffee filters, creamers, cocoa, and condiments! Thanks! The cabin is in the woods and we enjoyed exploring the "backyard" woods in snowshoes and stargazing at night. We ate out a few times at nearby Poplar Haus, Hungry Jack Lodge, and Gunflint Lodge. The snow was great for XC skiing at Golden Eagle Lodge and Bearskin Lodge. Megan was very responsive to our questions before our arrival. We hope to return in the future! It's a beautiful area!"
