“Lovely location. Close to Sundowners Bar where they offer great yoga classes. Great sunset views. Excellent service in the restaurant. My only complaint is the smell of mildew, but even the Kimpton smells like mildew!”

“our accommodation was clean. when we arrived, the toilet was leaking. We called the front desk and the toilet was fixed quickly without any other issues. We took advantage of the dive shop and had a fantastic experience getting certified. Dario was patient and kind. Claudio was super helpful as well.”

“Everything was great, very clean, the staff were super friendly, and the ocean view and the pool eve thing was beautiful we enjoyed our vacation. However, I do feel the hotel needs more lighting in the area and some minor repairs to the property. Otherwise, everything was perfect. “The resort was beautiful. Food was okay. The only thing that I think they can improve is giving the guests more information about the restaurants that are open when cruise ship guests are there. We were given no information. I asked a waiter and he told me certain times but they were wrong. The beach was beautiful. Some days there were like 6 guests on it. This was pretty nice. Everything shuts down around 9pm though. So if you like to have drinks later in the night. This is not the resort for……

“Loved this place. The staff were amazing and also very accommodating. We looked forward to the breakfast each morning. The food was delicious no matter what we ordered. Everyone was nice. Sasha was great! I would highly recommend Puerta Azul and if I get the chance, I would stay there again!”

Only minor issue is the restaurant staff is not well trained and ordering was difficult, slow to get drink refills and paying the bill took way too long. They were all very nice and tried hard, but they just seemed like they were learning how to do their jobs. Great stay overall.”
