“100 year old small hotel in a small Pocono town. Has everything you need, comfy bed, tiny shower, in room wine glasses. Coffee and packaged snacks and fruit are in a central location. There is an excellent Italian restaurant with a lively bar on the first level. Be sure to reserve for dinner during your stay. The hotel does make clear your room is located on the 2nd floor. No elevator.”

“We experienced multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues, including: * Hair in the shower when we arrived. * The shower drain was clogged, causing water to back up while showering. * The wall around the air conditioner was wet, suggesting a leak or moisture problem. * There was visible deterioration behind the wall/baseboard with exposed debris and damaged materials. * The carpet was stained and appeared dirty. I reported these issues to the hotel, but no one apologized or made a meaningful……

“The operator responded promptly to communications and was helpful and cordial. The house was clean, neat, cozy, and homey. Not elegant, but casual, relaxed and family style. Just right for us. If I go up that way again, I will definitely stay there. As a matter of fact, knowing that place is there makes it more likely I will return and spend more time there. It couldn't have been much better.”
