"Beautiful old building in central Cirencester, tastefully decorated and with extremely well trained staff. We ate breakfast and our evening meal there and both were excellent in the lovely brasserie. The spa and gym were at the time closed for refurbishment, but it was only for one night so didn’t affect us. We had a lovely room with a Cathedral view with lots of space and good sized en-suite. Highly recommend-we’ll be back."

"Very long distances to the rooms. All vehicle chargers broken. Overcrowded, especially at breakfast. Breakfast bacon hard and turned over on itself and cemented to itself. £35 steak tough - no information about how many days hung. Small bowls for cereal, small glasses for orange juice. Good variety of cereals at breakfast. Dining areas always very noisy - loud guffaws and very loud conversations. Guests at dinner in Bermuda shorts. Parking too far away from reception. Staff always helpful. Rooms lovely - large and well designed. Good design throughout hotel, especially pottery."

"Great location, Great staff and lobby areas, Rooms were great, bathrooms a little tired. Pool area needed a lot of attention, the steam room was totally out of action and the fact there was a daily parking charge on top of the room charge was disapointing."

"On arrival were greeted by a friendly man on reception and check in was smooth. We were in room 105. The room was cleaned to a satisfactory level. A couple of hairs were found on the pillow cases. The bathroom was clean but the quality of the toilet roll was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The only real issue we had with the room was the mattress. It needs throwing away and replacing. There was a huge dip in the middle of the mattress and as a heavily pregnant woman, I couldn’t get comfortable and had an awful nights sleep. Breakfast was a very basic continental breakfast but it served its purpose and filled a hole! I would return here, however I would make sure to inspect the mattress before bedtime in order to be able to speak to reception before it’s too late. And I would take my own toilet roll!"

"We arrived and got put in a small room where the windows wouldn’t open and the camp bed for our daughter was broken, but after a disappointing start we were moved into a much nicer room with the staff being very lovely about it. The rest of the stay was wonderful, it’s a short stroll into Bath Centre, the spa whilst very busy and cramped at times was nicer when it was quieter, the breakfast room was quite special although the fruit selection could have been a bit broader the hot breakfast was delicious. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, all in all we had a very nice stay and would definitely stay again."

The warmth and friendliness of the staff, the comfort and charm of the room, and the thoughtful attention to detail in every aspect, from the amenities to the exceptional food, came together perfectly to create an unforgettable experience. "The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, we really didn't like the Pub and Grill - small, crowded and very noisy - the football being shown on every vertical surface was embellished with loud and annoying music. We decided to eat in our room - which had its own contribution to add. The only way to order was via an app - which didn't work. As there are no phones in the rooms ( and no phone number provided to reach reception), I had to stand in the hallway to use one of the few phones around and order food whilst fellow guests walked past. It's a good thing I'm not self conscious! The food itself was ok, though being lactose intolerant seriously restricted my choices ( good thing I'm not a vegan!). Otherwise, the staff were very nice and I have no complaints on that front. Can't comment on the pool facilities as we didn't use them (despite paying for them) but that was entirely our fault."

"Very close proximity to exploring the centre of Bath. Everything we wanted to see was walkable."

"Bed frame was very squeaky when sit on it. Front desk told me that its the same in the other remaining room which was true to my surprise. Room was muggy warm, needed to use a fan to cool down; window locked closed. Bathroom was missing a set of towels for 2nd person. Front desk was friendly trying to help. Buffet Breakfast was good though."
