“My stay at Lafayette House was fantastic. Collin and Laurie were excellent hosts who provided a lot of helpful communications and were super responsive. The house and parking arrangements were exactly as described. The home was beautiful, well appointed, clean and in an EXCELLENT locations. Even coffee (decaf and regular) and filters were provided. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Old Town.”

“We took our daughter and her friend to a concert in DC. This location was perfect. Loved that there was a driveway and private back area to relax, though it was far too hot to enjoy it. The back area could use some TLC, but since it was too hot to really spend much time back there, it didn't impact us. The home pretty much had everything you need. We were able to walk to the metro. Record highs and the a/c worked excellent! We will stay here again!”

“The most convenient location and the included parking was especially nice. We were able to walk to variety of nice dinner spots. The night we made dinner at home we walked to grab ice cream. House worked great - went into DC each day - metro is about a mile away - walking on King street so don't notice how far due to all the shops along the way!”

“This is a very charming old home in Alexandria. Our stay here was homey and relaxing; the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was sufficient for making a few meals. Easy walk to the Waterfront down Prince Street (although I prefer going down Duke), and about a 15 minute walk to Whole Foods, Old Town, Good Restaurants, etc. This house is situated along Route 1, so there is a lot of traffic which I find to be very pleasant. Beware, that being an historic home, the stairs are narrow and the……

“Great Alexandria location ”

“This is the second time we have visited and stayed here, would not choose any other house in Alexandria. David is an excellent host, communication and helpfulness is excellent. House is clean and well equipped and is in a great location just steps away from King St. love staying here and hope to be back next year.”

“Perfect ”

“We were celebrating our oldest son’s graduation from law school. Along with my husband and me were my son and his fiancé, and my daughter and her fiance. The home was marvelous! It was spacious and beautiful both inside and outside. Located in a quiet neighborhood but easily accessible to Old Towne and DC, it really made our celebration memorable.”

Unfaithful staff

"I stayed with my wife for transiting to Washington airport (DCA). I need the shuttle bus service from hotel to DCA. I asked the staff, lady looks like African American, at/about 9:30am on 4th Dec. if I have to reserve the shuttle. She say , yes, and when I need the shuttle service? I answered about noon. She answered, "no problem". Unfortunately, when we checked out at noon, she say, sorry, no more shuttle before 3:00pm. Finally, we have to take taxi to DCA, and costed me US$30. Poor experience with her."
