“The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and……

“No a/c which was ok but maybe better vans in the room for air circulation without having the door open. A box fan would have allowed for this. Staff were amazing. Amenities were great. Looking forward to coming back next year.”

“Location’s great, right at the beach. Room is a bit dated but overall still wonderful stay. Location, heated pool and sauna makes up for minor issues with charger and clocks not working.”

“Staff was friendly and accommodating. Allowed late checkout if needed due to event departure day. Room was clean. Parking was nearly full due to The Great Columbia Crossing. Will most likely book again next year as well.”

“Check-in was amazing, the front desk clerk was extremely helpful and very friendly. She gave us some ideas for dinner and breakfast, and things to do. The room was very dated, but had a fun atmosphere. The back window is level with the street and headlight shined in all night and there was not a curtain to close. The bathroom was icky. I put a towel down to shower. No vent and the window only opened a sliver, so it is what you would expect. Price was good. Bed was comfortable.”
