“Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. “Firstly, this hotel may look like a motel but cleanliness is their priority. Next, their service is impeccable. The rooms may be small but the bed is so comfortable. If you get a chance, you must take some time to visit their mini museum and schedule a tour with Uncle Ron who is so passionate about his culture and sharing knowledge about Hawaii. “My wife and I stayed at Aston Islander on the Beach for our honeymoon, making this trip especially meaningful. While the location is excellent, several issues impacted our stay. Upon arrival, we did not receive the advertised shell lei greeting and had to request it after seeing other guests receive one. We also booked an oceanfront room but were assigned a room that appeared to be ocean view, despite being told it qualified as oceanfront. We experienced ongoing Wi-Fi and cable issues,……

“Good location to be central to Kauai and airport access. Can drive up north or south easily. The rooms were clean but dated. The same with the bathrooms. We came when they were doing updates( may 2026)so areas were closed off to us that would have been nice to utilize when we were there. The pool areas had closures and the gym had an odor, maybe from the construction. Unknown and no AC. Spa was out of the way to try and use due to construction so it wasn’t inviting to try and book. “Room is clean, location is good, near many food options, easy access to many places. However, charged for the resort fee that covers breakfast, morning yoga, and parking, their breakfast is a joke, package pastries and cereal, all the unhealthy premade package food. But that is the only complaint, everything else is good.”
