3/5 - Okay
This property was described as being convenient and central. If you are driving, or specifically doing something in the immediate area that may be true. But if you are reliant on public transport it's not a good option.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. The only challenge was the busy elevator. We had to wait over 5 minutes each time to get an elevator going up or down.

Room was good. Staff was good. The market was good. I never understand why a high-end hotel like this hundreds of dollars a night puts in the worst possible toilet paper ever come on guys.

I don't like anything that disturbs me, as cars honking, which is against the law in New York and inccurs a $250 fine to unnecessarily honk.
They need to clean up the area. There's a lot of homeless people and/or beggars around the area. Neighbors on the next room smoked marijuana in their room; and were loud, cursing, and aggressive (could hear them through the thin walls).
I dont had the oportunity to go arround tht city. Only used the city to stay close to manhatan
Security fences and bars on windows on most of the buildings. Great deal of litter (papers cans, broken glass) on streets & yards. Sidewalks broken & hazardous. Would not stay in Irvington again.
Avoid at night.
