It is a little dated but still very clean and with everything you need. There was some building work taking place but we didn’t really notice any noise or disruption. "The staff was incredibly kind, giving us detailed directions into Matsumoto and even going out of their way to drop us off at a more convenient train station! The property is tucked up in the mountains, and it was magical to gaze at the magnificent view while soaking in the rotemburo (outdoor bath). "The hotel is only several minutes walk from Kita-Matsumoto station. It is also close to the castle which is about 10 minute walk away. The area is safe and quiet, away from the crowd around Matsumoto station. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is reasonably priced and is okay. The room is clean and has what we needed for our stay. "
