I have stood at many of the Riu brands in dominican republic. The property at Riu Macao was my latest. It appeared knline that they had undergone a facelift for their room but i must have been in the wronf building. I rented the suite on 4th floor ocean front. Room looked a little beat down. Tub was old and stained, although clean. Had a leak in the cieling, i called they took forever. So i left and never even got a courtesy call back to apologize for thr inconvenience even though the proplem was resolved. I was shocked to see how little options the buffet had as well. To me it was sub par. I chose to eat out most of the time. Grounds are kept nice, beach was amazing. I just feel the human touch needs to come back a little at this resort.

pool was okay, but there was limited personal at the water park, too much kids playing and using the slides with no staff from the hotel. this is very very dangerous.
