“Hidden small gem in a rustic setting. We stayed in one of the "hotel" like rooms as we were trying to be budget friendly. We were very impressed with the easy check-in, friendly and helpful staff, and updated room. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning at their on-site restaurant and our server was friendly and provided some very helpful tips for our day's itinerary. Hope we make it back to this area so we can stay there again.”

“We traveled to this location during the night and it was incredibly hard to see the road signs leading to it. Most of the roads were dirt and some of them were washed out from rain. It is best to get here during daylight.”

“My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. We trailered or motorcycle into town and she was extremely accommodating with us needing a little extra space for our SUV, trailer, and motorcycle. I was expecting the house to be much smaller than it was but it was absolutely perfect for what we needed! We will definitely stay again if we come back to Custer!”

“This is a new hotel about 10 minutes from downtown Rapid City. Free parking and highway access are definite pluses. It is spacious and modern. It may lack the charm of the Alex Johnson hotel, but it more than makes up for it with convenience. The pool is very small but it does have a nice hot tub.
