"Great hotel, right off freeway. Good selection of food and shopping near by. Mexican restaurant next to hotel is a must have if you like Mexican food. 5 stars to that place (even though they gave me the wrong carry out order). Hotel was busy. Check in was still smooth. Room was clean, modern, and nice. I did hear several loud vehicles drive by from the room. Both had obnoxiously exhaust systems. My only complaint was the pool area. It was busy, had to ask for towels, and dirty towels scattered around the pool area. Hot tubs were way too hot. With a water slide, there were plenty of kids having fun. The pool was getting used. I notice brown stuff floating in the water in the hot tub. Turns out it was the paint from the brick around the edge of the hot tub. Hits peeling up and getting tracked into the hot tub. But that’s my only complaint. Breakfast was your average hot breakfast hotel food. It was getting well used."

"The hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The location is great. The front desk staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are very nice. Now we get to the breakfast. The food for the breakfast is quite good. However, the plastic knives, forks, and spoons are the worst I have ever seen. They are flimsy beyond belief. It is almost impossible to cut anything with the plastic knife. The plastic forks bend to a 90° angle when you try to put them into something. Both the kitchen staff and the front deck staff are aware of this problem. They don’t believe they can do anything about it. After our first breakfast, we brought plastic wear from a restaurant that we had eaten lunch in. During the breakfast after our first night stay, my wife and I discussed the idea that it might be better to pick up the food with our hands and simply bite it. We didn’t do this, but it was tempting."

"Visiting Mt. Rushmore with no prior planning was challenging. Having never glamped, staying here was a delightful western experience. The staff was very helpful, the accommodations were exactly as described, the bed very comfortable. It was an enjoyable sleep. The dining was very affordable and quite delicious. Overall it was one of the highlights of our five day trip to the Black Hills and Badlands. Without doubt, we would stay at an Under Canvas facility again."
