7.4/10 Good! (3,741 reviews)
We paid for a “North Tower Riverfront King – Newly Renovated.” Our first room had fecal matter on the toilet, debris, filthy windows and badly deteriorated cabinetry around the refrigerator. My wife had to clean the toilet herself because she needed to use the bathroom after our drive. The manager made things worse. We repeatedly heard, “What do you want me to do?” When I explained the feces had already been cleaned, her response was essentially that she couldn’t see it in the photo. We were told there were no other rooms in our category and a better room would cost more. We accepted a DOWNGRADE, with the resort fee being the only adjustment. We were part of a larger group with multiple rooms, and everyone in our party I’m aware of complained about their accommodations. It got bad enough that we LEFT SATURDAY NIGHT despite paying through Sunday. After I escalated, the Director of Hotel Operations responded professionally, confirmed the manager was identified and is receiving coaching/counseling, requested a 100% refund through Expedia, and ordered an inspection after I reported unexplained insect bites. I have not received the refund but was advised it could take 7–10 business days. I appreciate senior management taking this seriously. Unfortunately, it does not change the stay. We paid for an upgraded room, received an unsanitary, poorly maintained room, were downgraded after complaining, and ultimately left a prepaid vacation early. We will not be returning to Laughlin.
