“Great location.
4 of the 5 staff we interacted with were not helpful.
The gentleman who checked us in seemed quite bitter to be working here. He said no young locals wanted to run this business so somehow he was part of acquiring this place. He said no one stays here for the amenities nearby but instead, people arrive late and leave early on their way to the Isle of Skye. This is so unfortunate as there are so many great things to do and see in this area.

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”
“The staff contacted us before our arrival to make us aware that reservations are recommended for the only restaurant in Glenelg. The continental breakfast included numerous thoughtful and delicious options.
The room included everything to make our stay comfortable.
The view from the room is beautiful!!
Wishing we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.”
“The property lived up to its 3.5 stars. It was ok for the price. The continental breakfast could use some serious help. But for what we paid can’t complain too much”
“The room was clean, and the food here is good. The toilet in our room took a VERY long time to fill up after flushing, and the shower is quite narrow. However, the view is exceptional. The highlight of our stay was a cruise around the loch with Brian. We highly recommend booking this.”
