The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino houses a spa with fitness equipment, salon services, saunas, and steam rooms (surcharges apply). Another fitness and exercise option is the heated outdoor pool, known as "The Tank." It surrounds a 20,000-gallon live-shark aquarium with a 3-story waterslide that goes through the middle of the aquarium. Seven private cabanas (surcharge) are available around the pool area. A spa tub is on site.
Guests at this downtown Las Vegas resort can try their luck in the casino and choose from a fine-dining steakhouse, Italian and Asian outlets, buffet dining, and 24-hour cafés and bars.
Headliner acts and other entertainment are hosted nightly in the showroom. Rush Lounge, a Vegas “ultra-lounge,” offers private booths, high-end cocktails, and bottle service. Gold Diggers offers a dance-club atmosphere with cocktails, DJs, and balcony views.
Displayed in the resort lobby is the Hand of Faith, an 875-troy-ounce (60-pound) gold nugget. Discovered in Australia in 1980, this enormous nugget was found with a metal detector just 6 inches below ground.
