Being a Las Vegas hotel did mean having to walk through a smoke filled casino to get to the front desk as no other entrances were available. There's a $100 hold that can last up to 15 days that was NOT mentioned at ALL on Expedia site, just a $12 fee that you have an option of paying for in advance. I don't think hotels should be allowed to hold more than your Total booking fee but I'm grateful that Expedia shows the "Resort fee" so you don't get ripped off for trying to book what looks like a $10 room on a $150 Resort fee! No carpet was nice. Beds were hard as a rock. Shower was warm. Over all it was okay. Not great but not bad. Allowed late check in but I called multiple times to let them know. Never got to the pool. Has a nice check in package to the casino. Everyone was very polite. No complaints besides the hold.

The pool was down for maintenance, when I booked it wasn’t down. I wasn’t compensated in any form and didn’t have the resort fees waived, which should have been waived if we couldn’t even use the resort in the full way originally advertised.

I did not like this property. I've stayed in dozens of Vegas hotels and this one is not one I'd prefer to revisit. The smell of smoke is overwhelming as soon as you hit the door. The price is way too high for the accommodations.

We only give a 3 rating on facilities because they are in the process of reroofing. Over all the staff has been amazing, the property is older it looks like they are working to fix it up. The dining is good we come here a lot for breakfast when we visit family. We usually have a place to stay because but because of a family function we needed a hotel and a place for the pets. It is reasonable, friendly staff and clean pet rooms. The a/c works great, water pressure is great and hot, beds are comfortable but the tvs need to be updated but that not that big of a deal if your here to gamble. If needed to stay in a hotel again we would come back.

I have stayed at the Longhorn on a number of occasions and feel it is by far the best value in Las Vegas. While the structure is showing its age and the location is subject to some of the decline that Las Vegas has experienced in the past few years the staff at the Longhorn are simply outstanding. I always feel welcomed and safe at the Longhorn and there's a strong security presence onsite. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the restaurant onsite has some good food at great prices. Highly recommend - Five Stars.

For the affordable price, the room was really nice. The lobby was somewhat smoky from the casino, but it wasn't terrible. The area that the hotel is in might not be the safest area, but we didn't have any problems.
