“We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks.”

“We were very well looked after by Shaan & Sef who must be the one prepared our breakfast which was freshly made and ample every morning . The room was clean and spacious enough for us & our dog Rocky. Tumbleweed is a good place to stay for a few days to visit the local attractions, such as Sherwood Forest, nearby. It is a heaven for dog owners and joggers. I jogged with my dog along the Well Lane & The Avenue every morning and walked my dog on the couple of bridal ways nearby in the evening.……

“Excellent stay at the Briarcroft Hotel. We needed a place near the wedding venue we attended and this was right on the doorstep. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff were very attentive when needed. The continental breakfast was very nice, orange juice, cereal, toast. Parking right outside the hotel. Everything we needed was right there including local shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely use this place again”

“I don’t know how this hotel isn’t a health and safety violation in itself. Don’t get me wrong, for £50 a night I wasn’t expecting luxury, but the condition of the place was shocking. There were four separate groups of us staying there, and every single room had a large patch of mould growing above the headboard, which was quite horrifying. The taps and sinks were barely attached, our bathtub had a hole in it, and the guests next door had their door constantly open, with a strong smell of weed……

“This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out).……
