“Claudia is an amazing host!! She works so hard to bake breakfast and desserts from scratch for the guests to enjoy. There were always fruits available to snack on at all times which was nice. Everything was super clean!! Loved the quiet feel of the Trumpeter as it is about 10 min away from the chatter of the downtown Friday Harbor. Our favorite parts were feeding the goats and alpacas in the mornings and using the complimentary bikes to explore the island.”

“This has to be the most thoughtful and quaint place we have ever stayed! The small details make everything flawless! From the chocolates beside the bed, to the ear plugs and face masks, bathrobes and slippers, even shower steamers! I wish we would have stayed here the whole trip!”

“This is a throw-back to the days of the good old motor lodge. A tiki bar bar, for starters but a tiki bar with good local beer. A wonderful shaded pool area. Light switches that are self-evident and don't require an engineering degree to figure out. Instructions to housekeeping that are followed. You know what I am talking about. The one downside? The patio doors/balconies all face the setting sun, which leads to three hours a night of intense sunlight and heat in a non-air conditioned……

The biggest issue was that the listing described the room as having an ensuite bathroom, but we were only informed the day of our arrival that the bathroom was actually located in the hallway, not an ensuite.
