It was noisy . the Information on Hotels.com never included that the entrance to the apartment building was 3 feet away from the entrance to the strip club The Sophisticat. During the five days we stayed, the garbage was spilled on the sidewalk. in front of the windows of the living room was a loading dock maybe part of the train station (not sure) and it was very noisy and therefore we were unable to have windows open to ventilate the apartment since only one fan was available.
We had communication issues with the office to get keys, address and instructions. We called twice from NY but had no answer. From London airport we finally got in contact. Upon arrival to apt, we noticed the sofa bed was broken. A repairman appear and said it had happen before and he had advised them it had to be replaced. He tried to fixed it. Next night, there was no hot water, the following morning no hot water either. Someone came while we were out and fixed it.The other two guests arrived on the third night and the sofa broke again. They ended up sleeping on the floor. We had traveled for an event next day and there was no way we could not move to another hotel because of time.
Every night we heard loud voices from downstairs probably the clients of the club and doors opening and shutting loudly inside the building.
We got a voucher for $150 as compensation for the lack of communication. Afterwards when we were back in the US, hotels.com said sorry and that was about it.
