"Beautiful location"
Grew up in the area but never stayed here. Very beautiful and tranquil, my room had incredible panoramic view of Los Angeles. Room is spacious. Although facility isn't new it was very clean and well maintained.

"Good location"
The hotel is perfectly located to Santa Monica restaurants and shopping as well as the beach. A room on the 1st floor however is not worth the price as the patio is at or slightly below street level and has metal bars which is very unappealing. The beds were also harder than most other 4 star hotels I've stayed in.

Good solid Hotel conveniently located, however during busy times, valet parking is a hassle, it can take more than 10 minutes to get your car back.

"the grande dame of Beverly Hills hotels, but...."
I arrived late on a Friday evening from an 11 hour flight followed by a dinner and was escorted to one of the farthest off bungalows. Technically an upgrade. When I explained that I was an urban girl and the garden setting unnerved me, they apologized that the hotel was full and they'd try to make a change the next day. The bungalow was huge the bathroom really spacious... so I unpacked, the decorations were pretty but dated (mustard yellow is pretty 80's, but i guess it's coming back). The next day was busy so I didn't ask about moving, to my regret. Sunday it was pouring, torrential rain in LA. Unfortunately, I slipped and fell on the path to the hotel (remember. I'm a city kid) and really banged myself up. There was nothing on the ground to prevent slippage on very smooth paths with some slight but steep trajectories. They took good care of me and then moved me into a junior suite in the hotel, which was probably the same size as the bungalow square-foot wise, but which I liked much more...

I enjoyed having a quick beverage at the bar before shopping and had fun while sitting upon the rooftop to soak up the California sun. I was impressed with room service. I was saddened the tea times were limited throughout the week during construction of the restaurant but excited to return when they complete it.

You can find all types of resorts in Los Angeles whether you are looking for a bargain or a luxury resort. The city has many diverse neighborhoods, from laid-back Venice Beach to posh Beverly Hills. Best Times of Year to Visit

Los Angeles is famous for its sunshine and mild weather. There is really no off-season in Southern California. However, if you want to work on your tan and take a dip in the ocean, visit between May and October, when temperatures typically reach the mid-70s. On the other hand, if you’re looking for cheap flights to Los Angeles and want to take advantage of some appealing L.A. resort deals, visit in winter. Winters are mild in L.A., just not quite warm enough to comfortably dip in the ocean. You’ll also find that popular attractions such as museums are less crowded from late fall to early spring.

What to Do in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is one of the world’s most exciting and cosmopolitan cities. Many areas of L.A. are fun to simply drive or walk around in while you absorb the atmosphere. Movie buffs can head to the Hollywood Walk of Fame with its famous stars engraved on the sidewalk. The iconic Hollywood Sign is visible from many areas of the city. The Griffith Observatory is considered the city's best vantage point to get a birds-eye view of the sign, the oceanfront, and the majesty of greater Los Angeles.

If you’re in the mood for some culture, head over to The Getty Center, which features some impressive modern architecture, more great views of the city, and lots of fascinating art exhibits. Another popular attraction worth visiting is Universal Studios Hollywood®. This is a theme park that specializes in rides and activities centered around some of the most famous movies and characters of all time. The Universal CityWalk, which contains three full blocks of live entertainment, food, movies, and unique shops, is one of the most interesting places to explore while you’re in L.A.

    Hotels and Resorts

You can find everything from budget hotels to family resorts in Los Angeles, California. Although you can find resorts of all types, Mediterranean-style architecture is especially popular. Many resorts cater to couples and families. You can find a wide variety of features and activities at resorts and hotels in Los Angeles, including fitness centers, spas, and fast, free Wi-Fi.

L.A. resort deals may include certain perks, such as complimentary spa services. At a Los Angeles spa, you can relax and enjoy the luxury of a massage, facial, manicure, or other treatment. You can browse the best L.A. resorts and hotels here at Expedia.com and find the perfect accommodations for your next trip.
