Convenient but dated

Cons: Updated decor
Location: Some very good restaurants. The Academy Center for the Arts is directly across the street.
First impression: the hotel was freezing cold. The lobby was cold. The hall was cold. Thankfully the room was reasonable. Overall the hotel is okay, but it needs a renovation. The decor is dated but it is clean and comfortable. The location is good for events downtown. We were in Lynchburg for a concert at the Riverfront and walked to dinner and the show. We would stay there again, but only because there is no alternative. We ate at the restaurant in the morning. It's independent of the hotel but it's still worth pointing out that they really need a busboy. It was littered with dirty tables the whole time we were there. The food was fine. The staff was friendly. They just really need a busboy.

Good place to stay in Lynchburh, VA.

The construction was the main bad point to the stay. It isn't the hotel's fault. The staff had printed directions to the parking garage to make navigating around the construction easier. The staff did kick us out of the pool 15 mins before the actual closing of the pool. There wasn't a breakfast offered but I didn't check that before I booked the room, I just assumed that it would be since that seems to be the standard now.

Needs Darkening Shades

I didn't think that the hotel was worth the price. The room did not include room-darkening shades, so the light (even though it was a rainy day) woke me up at 5:15. That being said, the room was cozy and comfortable. The A/C effectively kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The look and feel of the lobby looked like it hadn't been updated in 30 years.

Location was bad. Road construction going on in front of hotel. Parking is in a garage some distance from hotel. No complimentary breakfast. One of the elevators was malfunctioning.Room way over priced for value.

Not a ...We're sorry was given ...NADA

We were left a message that our debit card was declined ...it was picked up in the evening when NOTHING could be done as we were ready for bed ..lost a full night's sleep over it and was in a complete anxiety attack by 3 am ...problem was YOURS ...staff entered WRONG expiration date
