Today it is a country park run by Neath Port Talbot Council and has many family attractions (petting farm, miniature railway and many trails to walk. There are even the remains of an 11th century abbey on the site to explore. The "castle" is actually a comfortable Victorian era country house, one of many "mock" castles built in the 19th century during the Gothic Revival.
