“We stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night and it was really lovely. The room was big, airy and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was lovely. “Plumber Manor is a perfect place to stay if you want a peaceful retreat in beautiful gardens , a comfortable bed and delicious food. It has a well stocked bar and the wine prices are reasonable. The only negative was the wifi was weak in the courtyard room we stayed in which caused ‘buffering’ when watching a film. We mentioned it to staff and it will be rectified. The main problems are there is no member of staff on site at the hotel and they don't answer a phone when you call reception. Plus parking is very difficult. You have to sign in on a computer, which works fine but then as soon as you have a question, there is nobody to help - you have to work it out yourself - for instance where is the wifi code - it's nowhere to be found i the room, so you have to go back down……
