Private oceanfront villa with gorgeous sunsets!

"The home was clean. The outdoor seating ample, and pool was good for the grand kids. However the infinity flow fountain was not working nor the accent pool lights. We found an iguana in the pool one day and it smelled like urine and there were iguana feces we cleaned out. The pool cleaner came to clean the next day. The whole main floor was very warm without a/c so we asked for extra floor fans. Our first night was hot in several bedrooms due to lack of Freon and that was fixed the next afternoon. . The back of home had all sliding doors and one main open- air metal door with a ripped screen where the door lock is and could be reached to unlock the door from outside. There were several sliding door screens that were broken and or off track and left leaning , so not usable without allowing many flying insects in and we wanted to open the doors for a better air flow. Maintenance came to fix but only fixed part of the door issues. One door has a missing lock completely, so we didn’t enjoy a lot of safety. We were told the lock is on back order. The view is really beautiful , mermaid beach is very rocky and a pair of hiking shoes would be needed to enjoy a hike on the hills. Sandy Bay is a 15 minute walk / 4 minute drive and very secluded and lovely beach. A big helpful aid that should be added for the kitchen/ home is a purified water tank. It was recommended not to drink the water, and to purchase bottled water cases."

"We were celebrating three life events and the house was a perfect place. We had plenty of room for our family. The pool was vey nice with a picture perfect view. The house had all the kitchen and bathroom essentials, and I mean there was plenty, including beach towels and beach chairs. The semi-private Sandy Bay was beautiful and we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. There was only one couple out there each time we went. We had a wonderful time."

"Lamentablemente hemos tenido una muy mala experiencia en este alojamiento. Al llegar la casa no se había limpiado y estaban todos los platos sucios en el fregadero, las camas sucias con salpicaduras, papel confeti como si hubiera habido una fiesta, excremento en el inodoro y pelos en la ducha. Una situación muy desagradable. Eran las 7:45 de la tarde y la propietaria no respondía las llamadas, ni los mensajes de la App ni WhatsApp ni nada. Abrimos el caso con VRBO quien tampoco pudo contactar con ella hasta el día siguiente. Pasamos la noche ahí sin poder dormir pero era de noche, llovía y los alojamientos de la isla estaban llenos debido a Spring Break así que no teníamos donde ir y estábamos con un menor así que nos tuvimos que quedar ahí sin poder usar las camas.Al día siguiente VRBO pudo contactar con la propietaria quien nos llamó y pidió disculpas y se comprometió a reintegrar esa noche y poner la casa en condiciones.Nos avisaron que la casa estaba limpia el segundo día sobre las 6 de la tarde. Al volver del viaje, la propietaria dijo que solo nos devolvía 50 dólares en lugar del valor de la noche como se había comprometido y así lo hizo. Encontrar la casa sucia ha sido muy desagradable pero que esta persona no cumpliera su compromiso ha sido aún peor. VRBO asumió la diferencia y se cerró el tema pero no recomendaría este lugar porque estas situaciones arruinan unas vacaciones.Adjunto fotos para que podáis entender la situación."

"This property was beautiful and quiet. It had everything we needed and more. The views from the back deck were better than the pictures and we loved watching the birds and iguanas in the trees below us. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare any meal and the couches are very comfortable. We would definitely like to return to this home and island. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway."
