"Fantastic location for proximity to the hospital, comfortable beds, delicious continental breakfast, and very helpful staff. Those are the high points. The lows were the carpets were visibly dirty, especially outside the elevators…like really dirty and desperate for a vacuum. Also, the toilet was gross. Visible grunge around the rim. Of all things needing to be cleaned, that is really one of the absolute top. If that’s not clean, what else has been neglected? We switched rooms."

"A clean room with nothing serious to complain about for the price. AC worked well and was cold. Bed, bathroom and floors were clean, room smelled very neutral. The parking lot was one of the sketchier ones I've ever seen with loads of smashed and broken down cars/random stuff in parking spots/people loitering - but we had no problems. The mattress was firm but not noisy or broken feeling, and the 2 'pillows' were very flat and extremely cheap/disposable seeming. If you're driving, BYOP."

"The high number of stars for this hotel must be due to the location. And what a location it is! A beautiful deck overlooking Lake Nokomis, a fire pit, and beach along the shore. Absolutely beautiful. However, the rooms themselves were fairly old and tired, although perfectly adequate. The bedspreads were frayed, the mattresses - though comfortable - sagged, and the toilets were so close to the floor that my 80-something mother had a hard time using it. There were also a lot of cracked tiles in the bathroom. But all in all it was a great place to stay and to be right on the lake was idyllic."
