Midpines Vacations

30 miles (48 kilometers) to the southwest of Yosemite National Park, is Midpines, an excellent place to add to your itinerary. Coming from Merced Municipal Airport in Yosemite National Park, Midpines is 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the northeast.

Midpines is near a range of colorful Yosemite National Park’s well-known sights. Two sights that should be at the top of every visitor’s itinerary is the wonderful Mariposa County Visitor Center and the iconic Mariposa Museum and History Center. Also worth checking out are the California State Mining and Mineral Museum and the Pioneer Yosemite History Center.

There are a number of natural gifts here as well, so don’t miss the chance to get outdoors. Put on your hiking shoes and enjoy the well-used nature parks for which this area is so renowned, such as the South Entrance Yosemite National Park.

At the end of a busy day taking in the sights around Midpines, stay the night at one of the area’s hotels or serviced apartments.
