“**Disappointing anniversary stay** We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. Although the hotel has confirmed this was the Deluxe category we booked, the room itself was very disappointing. It felt clinical rather……

“Wir waren nur eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp hier, aber das Inn ist sehr empfehlenswert. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und sauber und die Kommunikation mit Jacqui sehr freundlich und schnell. Leider waren wir an einem Montag da, an dem das Pub geschlossen ist, der Gastraum ist so gemütlich eingerichtet, dass wir gerne im Abendbetrieb da gewesen wären. 😊 So war es leider nur zum Frühstück.”

“Location was convenient for us but the room was noisy with music playing until after 11pm on both nights. Strange smell in the room and no reading lights or fridge.”

“Room was clean, well maintained, nice hot shower & comfy bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a decent size cup are always a plus ! Solo female travelling for work. Only stayed for one night but had everything I needed. Felt reasonably safe. Only issue was the 2nd cottages directions sign was on the right hand side of road & obscured by a tree branch, so I didn’t see it & my sat nav took me left at the end of the rd & up a very tight private road to a bungalow based on the post code. Not ideal ….……

“The staff were wonderful, the food was excellent and the amenities were good quality. I have stayed here a few times with work and the general location is lovely, with a very village relaxed vibe. The outdoor space in the summer months is beautiful.”

“The Landlord Adam and his staff were very helpful and friendly. The pub food was excellent. We had a great time and looking forward to spending time there again.”

“Modern hotel on the outskirts of Cardiff next to a lake and a retail park. Rooms were basic but clean and the staff were polite and helpful. Good pub quality food and fair selection of drinks. Free parking for guests. Very good value for money and for what we required, a cheap overnight stopover, it was ideal.”

“3 Horse shoes was great, for some reason our bedroom got mixed up, was supposed to have a family room but got a double. Staff sorted the issue, i dont know but apparenty is was an Expedia mix up. Issue was sorted by the morning even though we arrived late, cool pub with a kids soft play and decent playground. Foods nice, staff great.....”

“The hotel was very convenient to the Cardiff airport by a short taxi ride. Although old, it is well maintained. Dinner was excellent in the hotel restaurant. Everything was very clean and all the staff are very helpful and friendly.”
