Our experience at Hotel Rosita was very different from what Expedia represented when we booked. The first room we were given was extremely small and had a strong moldy, damp odor that remained even after the air conditioning was turned on. There was NO balcony. The second room had a small Juliet-style balcony with no seating or table. After I talked to the front desk, we were moved to a slightly larger room, but it had the same moldy, damp smell. The bathroom sink was cracked, and for three guests, we received only three small towels, no washcloths, and two small bars of soap. The pool was also closed and unavailable during our stay. While we understood that ocean conditions could be affected by hurricane season, the area in front of the hotel was rocky and did not provide the usable beach experience we expected from the property's advertising. Because we arrived late, we had little choice but to stay the first night. The following morning, we found and paid for alternative accommodations, returned to Hotel Rosita, packed our belongings, and left immediately. This was not simply a matter of preferring another hotel. We attempted to resolve the problem by requesting another room. I will be requesting a refund for all remaining nights that we did not stay at Hotel Rosita. Because of the condition of the rooms, the discrepancies between the listing and our actual accommodations, the unavailable pool, and the additional lodging expenses we incurred after leaving the property.

Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful, but the listing is a bit misleading. We expected a refrigerator in the room and there wasn't one. There was no cold water in the room either, though there was water available in the corridors, and it was very warm. We asked about an ice machine or a cooler, but they didn't have either. The room was clean, though the curtain had some black spots on it. We also had some issues with the AC. My cousins and I are used to the desert heat, and the humidity was rough. Luckily, the staff fixed it, and we kept the AC on for our entire stay. Breakfast was great, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us.

Extremely clean hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Rich and tasty breakfast. We visited their restaurant also, called La Capella, just top notch food and service. The best romantic stay for couples! Amazing view and location! Very grateful to the staff, thank you guys!
