Place is spotless and is an oasis of peace when compared to PV. Bus service into PV or Boca is frequent and close. The price is hard to beat, so one has to accept cooking on a single burner hot plate and microwave, and the distance involved in getting groceries. "We have been to Barceló twice and each time is phenomenal. The staff is so attentive and goes above and beyond. The bartenders are amazing and this place is a lot of fun for an adults only or family trip. This resort is about 20 minutes south of the romantic zone. This resort does not have tons of in-house entertainment BUT it is so budget friendly that you’ll can and SHOULD go into town and explore, and book with Vallarta Adventures, or other local excursions. Despite what others say, the food is pretty good for an all inclusive and the dinner buffet menu changes each night to different themed food. Book a trip here!"

"The staff was amazing! Consider this place a home away from home! Maria, Antonio and Citlaly were amazing! Always assisted us in booking a taxi! Helped do research on places we wanted to visit, would offer us assistance on any and everything. Food was amazing! Views were gorgeous, you’re walking distance from water taxis. It’s about a 30-40 minute drive from zona romantica, which is where more of the city life is. So just be considerate of how much you’ll be paying in taxis roughly $25 usd one way. But if paying for a taxi is no problem, I would recommend this place 100%. It’s a smaller resort, more personal and you’re also paying for amazing hospitality and for a more intimate experience. I can’t emphasize enough how just staying at this resort made our experience in Puerto Vallarta so memorable. I just wanted to really give this staff a huge shout out! I really can’t get over how welcoming they were. Truly grateful!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this property, which boasts direct access to two of Puerto Vallarta's most beautiful, clean beaches just steps from the room. The stunning ocean views lasted all day, and the suite itself was highly functional, equipped with everything needed for cooking and cleaning. Having an on-site mini-market was incredibly convenient and helped us save on dining out.The location is excellent—centrally located near the area's best beaches and less than ten minutes from the Malecón, with a convenient bus stop right outside the Girasol building. While the downstairs restaurant and bar were convenient, the food was just average (3/5 stars).There were a few drawbacks to note: we encountered unexpected extra fees at both check-in and checkout (cleaning fee) despite we always clean up after our stays. Additionally, the ambient noise from the adjacent hotel's turbines unfortunately masked the natural sound of the ocean waves. While the room's cleanliness could be improved—specifically regarding dust and debris left under the bed—the bedding itself was exceptionally comfortable, offering some of the best sleep I've ever had.Overall, the owners have put great effort into creating an enjoyable stay, and we appreciated our time here."
