Not so close and a bit runned down
"Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy."

"Location is great nice walk in to Keswick about 20 mins. Food and drink very nice and a good price. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel needs some renovation work but for a couple of nights it's a lovely place to stay."

Beautiful location
"What a beautiful location for a lodge! The lodge itself was well presented and clean with everything you would need, but by far the best things are the views and the peace. You are only 15mins away from Keswick. We will definitely be back."

Lovely lodge
"We had such a lovely stay at the Bassenthwaite Lodges. The lodge was all ready with the necessities and was lovely and clean. Great location to the lake and a lovely little park on site for children. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future"
