"The sheets were dirty, pillows so cheap and worn, and it was so noisy you could hear anything happening outside of the room. I loved the fact that my pet could stay in room with me but even he was uncomfortable with all the noises outside. "

"The AC unit leaked all over our personal items (to include my wallet) on the first night. It also didn’t put out any cool air. The fridge froze all of our babies milk, my wife’s expensive medication, and other food. Both beds were very uncomfortable and left us sore the next day. When I talked with the staff the next morning, they sent a maintenance team to “fix” the AC and refrigerator. When we came back from to our room we found that it was leaking even more and they switched out the fridge with one that had mold in it. We were moved to a new room that they ensured us don’t have any of these issues. However, the AC unit didn’t work at all. It was hot and humid in our room with no cool air. They sent maintenance to this room to fix the issue, while we waited for three hours. The issue was never resolved and the room was still hot. We ended up leaving and driving 3hours home instead of trying to suffer through another sleepless night. "

"Near the lighthouse, golf course and the ocean. From our balcony on the second floor we could see the ocean. Pacific Grove downtown is nearby and nice with several restaurants featuring live music on Saturday night. It’s a great location to get away from the busier areas of the Monterey area. Although the hotel is an older property it’s within walking distance of the ocean, golf course and lighthouse and a short drive to the charming downtown area. "
