8/10 Good
"I really liked this place, I stayed here twice on my most recent CA trip and will stay here again. It really doesn't feel like a motel at all and the free breakfast was very good, if a little 'mobbed' at times. I have read a few folks complain about traffic noise but honestly that didn't bother me one bit. It is located on El Camino Real, which is a busy thoroughfare but, other than one cop car siren late one night, I can't honestly recall hearing any traffic. However, it is still a motel and the walls are thing and some units will be noisier than others. All of that said, I do have one small noise-related grumble that feels kinda silly as I prepare to write it, but it was enough for me to knock off one star in one category. If the property management is reading this, please consider doing something about the very noisy wheeled bins your (helpful and hardworking) room staff use to transport linens across the facility. These are incredibly loud, especially when you are in a ground floor room immediately adjacent a parking area (building 9 was horrible for this, building 13 wasn't so bad). The hard plastic wheels make a harsh grinding sound as your staff drag them back and forth. I had to work out of my room and it was enough that I raised it with reception (they knew exactly what I was talking about and apologized). Replacing those hard plastic wheels with softer rubber ones is probably just a few hours work with a socket wrench and maybe a couple of hundred bucks in parts."
