With its array of slippery slides and fun shows, Myrtle Waves is a large water park for the whole family. One of several water parks in the region, it contains areas for little kids, young-spirited adults and everyone in between. Let your kids zoom down some of the more than 24 slides and other rides spread across this fantastic world of water.
Featured among the big names in the line-up of water attractions are Arooba Tooba, Riptide Rockets and Snake Mountain. Take on Rockin’ Ray, get on board Turbo Twisters and race your friends on Thunderbolt Speed Slides.
If you’re looking for something a little more leisurely, float slowly down the Lazy River. Practice your moves atop a board on the FlowRider® surf machine known as Tsunami. If you bring toddlers to the water park, watch them have fun at Bubble Bay, Racin’River or Saturation Station.
Away from the water, rent a cabana to have your own private shaded space for your family. Relax in the comfort of a deck chair and purchase beer and snacks from the Beer Garden. Step into the air-conditioned Island Café for family favorites of pizza, hot dogs and hamburgers.
Purchase tickets online and get discounts for children under a specified height. Toddlers can enter the park for free. Check the online schedule for open hours, which vary by season. Note that the complex stays open late on Thursdays for Dive In Movie Nights in the Wave Pool. Book a birthday party or other group activity in the pool complex.
Myrtle Waves is a little inland from the coast in Myrtle Beach. Drive northwest from the sandy strand for 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) to reach the water park in 10 minutes. Explore the rest of this district to see other attractions such as Broadway Grand Prix, the Hollywood Wax Museum and WonderWorks Myrtle Beach.
