Beach front property

The location is perfect, right on the beach and we felt like it was a private beach. Loved that! The house is very nice-our favorite part is the covered porch on both upper floors. We cooked a lot and never ate in the house but ate at the large table on the porch. Wonderful. For the high price of staying there really should not be complaints-but, the queen beds were not comfortable and the sheets kept coming off-very annoying-I noticed this has been a complaint in many reviews and it still isn’t fixed. Buy some dang sheets that fit (third floor king bed was great-comfortable and great sheets). Also, in the second bedroom on the third floor (double bed)there is some sort of weird skylight/nightlight thing over the bed. No problem during the day but AWFUL at night as you can’t sleep. We had to get a towel and use packing tape and tape over it. Didn’t completely block it out but did make it manageable. Please fix that. And the double bed isn’t great either. The big trash cans reeked-they need to be power washed out after each stay. Other than that it was beautiful. We were going to book it for same time next year but the price has gone up an additional $1600. That is a crazy increase. It was already expensive and with gas prices (we traveled 12 hours), that’s hard to justify spending so much money.

Beautiful House and Beach!

We had a wonderful time at Whispering Palms. The house was great for our group of 7 adults and 4 children (ages 1-8). Our favorite parts about the house were the SPECTACULAR VIEWS, wonderful porches, and the super comfy beds. There's not quite enough seating in the living room, but with lots of dining room chairs and bar stools it wasn't a problem. The kitchen is gorgeous. The only ice maker is the one in the fridge with a small bin, so plan on keeping bags of ice in the freezer. But it's well equipped with just about everything needed, including tons of pantry space. The shower on the ground level is super handy for rinsing the sand off, but there's no door, so I wouldn't count it as place for a real shower. We brought our own beach chairs, umbrella, and tent. But 2 beach chairs with umbrella set up comes with the house with instructions on who to call to get that set up, and the option to purchase additional rentals. The layout of the house worked great for us, but might not be ideal for everyone. The master bed and bath are on the top floor, and the master bath is shared with the double bed room, as well as the open nook with the double bunk beds. The 2 queen bed rooms are on the main level, each with their own bath. The half bath is conveniently located next to the living room with a door to the outside as well. All the closets are huge and bathrooms spacious. There are currently no luggage racks, which would be a super handy addition. Especially since my 4'11" mother could not reach the closet racks as they are abnormally high. We couldn't have asked for a better location! It's a fairly quiet beach with lifeguards on patrol. We were there the week both hurricanes were in the gulf, so the weather wasn't perfect and we had double red flags most of the week so we couldn't get in the water. But the house is close enough (5-10 min drive) to beaches on the inlet side for the kids to swim. Overall, it was an awesome week in a great house and we booked it again for next year! P.S. We left the 12'x12' tent there for the house, but it's really on it's last leg as a couple bars in the top are broken. So I wouldn't bother trying to use it in windy conditions. Not sure if it's ever not windy, but we used it the week of the 2 hurricanes.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was great. 3 families had a wonderful time. The home is new and clean with a very good layout. Privacy was really nice as we had a relatively isolated part of the beach to ourselves. Navarre lacks really good restaurants but there are some in Pensacola. We would readily go back.
