"Fantastic experience"
Very warm welcome at the hotel upon arrival. Fantastic location in a pleasant environment, only need to cross the road to Castel. Breakfast was well presented and enjoyable, with friendly staff to talk to. Great place to recover from the heat of Rome.

Terrace Cancelleria

"Nice apartment, great location, reasonable price"
Had a great stay at Terrace Cancelleria, the apartment is in an excellent location, being walking distance from all the main sites. It is 100m from Campo di Fiori, which is a lively piazza so expect to hear the buzz of street noise late into the night and traffic 1st thing in the morning. Apartment is in a maisonette arrangement, with 1 double bedroom on the mezzanine, up a spiral staircase, above the lounge (my 8-year old daughter used this one) and the other double bedroom off the lobby landing; decor is clean and rustic, with exposed timber beams (below head height). Apartment is on the top floor, up steep steps, so expect to be a little out of breath when you eventually get up to the door (there is no lift). Email communications from the landlord Francesco before and during our stay was excellent, as were the reliable airport transfers he arranged for us. We arrived at 11:00hrs and were allowed to leave our bags in the room whilst it was being prepared. The only problem I found being, it is not clear which buzzer you press for the apartment from the street level door but I gave him a call and his friend let us in a 2 minutes later. Francesco arrived later in the afternoon and importantly explained that the hot water boiler switch is right next to the bathroom light switch (in the same fitting); be aware, it looks exactly the same as the light switch (don't switch the boiler off unless you like cold showers).

"14th Century meets the 21st Century "
We were met at the apartment by Veronica (not the Veronica and Alessandro from the pre-arrival messages). The apartment is centrally located, walking distance to all the must in Rome: Pantheon, Trevi, the Beautiful Riverside walkways, St. Peters, Circus Maximus, the Coliseum, the Palatine Hill, Navona, Circus and St. peters would be the longest distances to walk, but definitively walkable (and we are in our 60's and it was 34-35C everyday). On the last day, Veronica met us and had prearranged a taxi for us to go to our car rental, just on the outskirt of town - I would never drive in Rome (coming from someone who learned to drive in Montréal !!)

"Greate cute little appartment."
Nice appartment to stay at while exploring the city. The location is really good, centrally located, right next to Piazza Navona. Close to great restaurants, especilly the one right by the doorway. Walking distance to where taxis are, so you can just walk there with your bags whenever you need to leave. No balcony with a view or anything but you dont really need that. Really liked it.

"Charming boutique hotel on beautiful street"
The hotel was lovely. Via Giulia is the only Renaissance street that runs in a straight line, and is full of palazzo. It is one block from the Tiber river.

"Small hotel near the Vatican"
This is a small hotel with only about a dozen rooms that are comfortable. There's no breakfast room, but they bring you a tray to your room. It's a 10 min walk to the Vatican and 3 min walk to the nearest bus stop. It's a much longer hike to the Forum/Colosseum, so you'll need to take transport. The Pantheon and Piazza Navona are close by. It's not close to the metro, and we didn't use it. It's a little hard to find without a map, so make sure you print out a Google map or have a working smart phone. Overall this was a lovely stay in a wonderful historic area of Rome. We loved walking down the narrow streets nearby, which have a vast array of places to eat, from tiny cheap eats (highly recommended) to more expensive places.

"Perfect family apartment- great location!"
Loved Casa Navona! Our family of 5 was so comfortable there for our 10 days in Rome! Owner, Sara, very gracious and willing to do anything to make our stay a perfect one. Location near Piazza Navona perfect "midpoint" to all areas of Rome. We walked -everywhere! Walking 4 flights of stairs to apartment a bit challenging but perfect exercise to "walk-off" all the pizza, pasta and desserts of Rome!

"Great Hotel in a Quiet Surrounding"
It was great to have found this hotel in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of Rome. It is situated in a very quiet street. We found the staff to be very friendly, especially the two ladies that were at the front desk during the day. The room was quite small, yet very comfortable. The breakfast was the usual continental fare served in Europe with eggs, bacon and other hot food available at an extra charge. It is within walking distance from many of the popular attractions in Rome. The Trasevere neighbourhood is just across the river, within five minutes of the hotel, where a number of super restaurants could be found. The Hotel Ponte Sisto was just the right hotel for us!

Hotel Pantheon

Via dei Pastini 131, Rome 00186 - Map
This is the third time I've stayed at this charming small hotel. The hotel couldn't be in a better location - right beside the Pantheon, five minute walk to Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to the Coloseum and Roman Forum, 10 minutes to the Spanish Steps, and 5 minutes to Piazza Navona. You can walk to all of the famous tourist sites except for the Vatican. The rooms are comfortable, and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and windows are double paned so you do not hear any of the noise from the crowds on the streets below. Only thing I would say that could be improved upon slightly would be the breakfast. Coffee, cappucino, and hot chocolate is all excellent. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and toast good. Orange juice was watery and more fruit could be provided.

Pocket Guide: Navona, Rome Pet-friendly Hotels

In the heart of the historic centre, Piazza Navona is Rome’s most famous square. Like a giant stage set, this is where the theatre of daily Roman life is re-enacted among the café tables that spill out onto the fountain-splashed piazza. Bernini’s baroque extravaganza, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiume, is the most celebrated of the three fountains. Nearby is the Pantheon – one of Rome’s great symbols and a marvel of ancient architecture.
