"This house is in a pretty awesome location. The views make up for anything that isn’t top of the line. The kitchen appliances were really nice and the beds/sheets were really clean and comfortable. The downsides are there is only a/c in the living room - none of the bedrooms have it. The weather was nice enough that we were fine but if it was a little warmer, sleeping wouldn’t have been as comfy. It’s a very damp area of the island so leaving the doors and windows open all the time makes the house feel kind of damp. Like I mentioned, the view, beds and kitchen amenities made up for anything that caught us off guard. I would still stay here again, I would just be expecting that this time. "

Definitely arrive in the afternoon if possible so you can enjoy the property. The waterfalls and creeks are gorgeous! Be sure to eat before you arrive or bring food, as nearby options are limited. "This was our 5th stay at this idyllic home. We keep coming back because of the beautiful facilities, lovely pool, the extensive ocean-view lanai for watching the sunrise and sunset (and for grilling dinner), the striking peace and quiet, the starry evening sky. We cannot help but RELAX and UNWIND! Rachel is a fantastic host; she's attentive but not intrusive in the least (her home is on the same property). The home is 15 minutes from Waimea (we love "The Fish and the Hog" restaurant) and about 40-ish minutes from fantastic shore diving at Puako. Pretty far from Kailua-Kona. If you are looking for a place to truly get away, this is the place!"

"The property was great! Very relaxing yet still had all the essentials. It was super fun walking the property and enjoying all the fresh fruit! Star gazing in the hot tub was also enjoyable. Overall we enjoyed our stay so much & had so much fun exploring the big island. Only downside is the closest beach is about a 20 minute drive and there is no AC so it can get warm during the day, but wasn’t a problem at night."
