We didnt stay, after getting to our room and seeing how old and out dated it is, we checked out. The hotel is very old, but it was clean.

We booked the hotel because it was close to Canal Park and there was a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was closed the entire stay and the pool had some weird black stain on the deep end. There was also black around parts of the pool and above in the vent. The hotel was very dated and did not seem to be kept up too well. I did not read the reviews before booking and I really regret that. I would never stay here again.

Brand new hotel was very beautiful and clean, but not ready to host guests yet. Many things were missing like the door handle to the balcony, waste bin in the bathroom, spare bedding for the pull out and the bridge to the parking ramp. Staff were helpful but kept insisting everything we needed as already in the room and didn't believe us until they came to look for themselves. Having to repeatedly ask for everything we needed was exhausting. Even had to put the duvet cover on ourselves.

The rooms themselves are very cute and nicely decorated. It was overall pretty clean, just some extra bugs in the fold out couch that my daughter had to sleep on. I was disappointed that the fold out couch itself was the width of a twin bed; so my son slept on the floor. I had indicated 4 guests. There were extra sheets and blankets provided, but only for the couch. Luckily, we had our own. The air also did not keep up; luckily its Duluth so as long as we kept our windows open there was a nice breeze for sleeping at night. Just the first night when we arrived it took quite a while to cool down. There was an issue with the check-in text I was supposed to receive- it didn't load correctly or something, so I had to call anyway. Overall I love the property and the whole set up; the location is unmatched; and the free parking included is a HUGE bonus for Canal Park. They obviously had a lot of extras to give it a personal touch, which we appreciate.

Delightful little place. Old historic building and the bar downstairs, with its local jazz was just cozy as can be. Highly recommend def. Oh, and the king bed in our room was shockingly comfortable.
